Changing Education
Families want the best for their kids and they need options to make that possible. We are excited to offer you a different school structure, one that doesn’t try to fit kids into a box but reorganizes learning to fit our kids. We hate seeing kids hate school. The best learning engages both minds and bodies. We are not teaching for test scores, but to increase the awe and wonder and ah-ha moments in a child’s day as they learn to appreciate the order and creation of God’s world and see His hand in history and in their lives. We want to reduce the pressure our youth feel to have a perfect report card and focus on students learning with their strengths. It's time to change what education looks like!
Our mission
The mission of Countryside Christian Schoolhouse is to infuse joy into our students’ school day by creating a culture where Bible-centric learning is relevant, rewarding, relational, and right for their learning-style and needs.
Our vision
At Countryside Christian Schoolhouse we desire our students to have a solid Biblical worldview, be critical thinkers, problem solvers, willing to think outside-the-box, think of others above themselves, and be servant leaders. One of our goals is that they will learn to follow God’s wisdom above the world’s. We want to see them know their strengths and go into the world to use those strengths to the best of their ability to benefit and serve others to the glory of God, whether college, workforce, ministry, family, missions, or military. A graduate of CCS will not consider the years spent in school a waste but will remember fondly the friendships built and the wonder and excitement of learning. He or she will value honesty and will know that hard work and diligence will take them far. They will know it is not just okay, but best, to be who God made them and they don’t have to fit the mold to matter. They will understand I Corinthians 12:18.
Our team
Ginger grew up overseas in Central and Latin America as a missionary kid. She attended public schools, private schools, and home school. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. For 16 years she has worked as a speech-language pathologist in public and private school settings.
Kindra began homeschooling in the state of Washington when her oldest were just in kindergarten and 1st grade. They were often in trouble in the public school for the silliest of things and upon observing in class it was apparent they were simply bored to tears. She, herself was homeschooled all the way through so it was natural for her to decide to bring them home to teach them. Over the years the needs of her family grew and she used a combination of public, private, and homeschool to meet those needs as best she could. She has 16 years of experience homeschooling neurodivergent children with varying needs.
